Starting a new project in Barani.

July 2009.

On Saturday, 27th June, I had the opportunity to travel to London to address a group session at a conference at Somerset House. The conference was called Water4Life organised by Churches of God. I was able to tell the group, much larger than I had expected, about the work of Kikambala Aid Trust.

Kikambala Aid Trust is a registered charity.

Also known by the acronym KAT.

It is registered in the UK. Charity Commission number 1118231.

KAT works in Kenya, in the coastal area north of Mombasa. The area is known as Kikambala extending northwards from Mtwapa towards Kilifi. There are many small rural villages in the area with few or no facilities.

Dave and Hazel would like to thank family members who have supported their projects. Most especially Hazel's parents who at 92 and 95  have provided the majority of raffle prizes for fund raising events.

Sadly my father died in February 2009. He has left a lasting memory in Kenya with contributions made at his funeral being used to provide electricity to the village of Bomani.

Also many thanks to those we have worked with to fund projects. We are most grateful to Dr Paul and Mrs Pearl Walker who I had the privilege to meet on my last visit. To Alison and Michael Smedley who organised 2 wonderful concerts near Oxford. Thanks also to Gillian and Mick , Jane and Dave and Richard and Yvette who amongst others have continued to support KAT.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
